Navratri … Nine Nights.
These nine nights symbolises the triumph of positivity over negativity. The religious significance of navratri is the celebration of Maa Durga with her nine deities battling the most dominion demon mahisasaur. The reason behind the nine nights is the fact the battle lasted nine days where the tenth day Maa Durga defeated mahisasaur. The tenth day is known as dussehra. Dussehra is the day where good over bad is celebrated. During this day little girls are worshipped as a form of Maa Durga.
Apart from the religious significance. Garba is a gujarati folk dance that has been practiced over years which has gone global. Navratri is where everyone comes and plays garba and dandiyas together. This time of the year is awaited by me as the environment during navratri is more lively and this time of the month gives happy and positive vibes. This festival brings everyone closer and spreads positivity, happiness and love to our surroundings.
ENJOY THIS TIME AS IT ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR.
SPREAD HAPPINESS AND KEEP SMILING.
